christmas in the city! DAY 4

longest most fun filled day ever and here is the load down...

woke up and took a taxi drive to serendipity to put our names in (3 hour wait for two people!!)

dylan's candy bar-fro yo and candy galore!

barney's- gaga workshop exhibit! insane! she is psycho insane! psycho fabulous insane!
there, i tried on a $5000 gown that was so serena van der woodson.  my mom called when i was in the dressing room and i processed to say "hey mom, ya im in the dressing room at barneys, i love the dress, wanna transfer $5000? thanks." i mean i had to sound legit right? if they ever knew i was a thrift store loving beach bum they would never have let me try on this elite new york socialite's dress!!

serendipity's for lunch! our gay server was a hoot and the frozen hot chocolate and fruit crepe was a holler! it was such a fun atmosphere and a new york must that we checked off our list!

F.A.O. swartz toy store little children's dream land was ridiculously awesome and extremely packed...making my self induced anxiety spike a little but nonetheless it was so cool!

Apple store on 5th was very convenient...we needed our phones to change.

tiffany and co on 5th was quite the experience.  lily and i marched to the 3rd floor...engagement rings...and successfully managed to convince jon that lily was getting engaged and i was her bridesmaid. this will happen in the future, so i guess technically we were not a total fake. she tried on her "novo" and fell in love.  literally, her hand were shaking.  then! i stole the spotlight (jon took note of this spot light taking and ranted more funny stories about the bridesmaids stealing the spot light...we totally were in the clear...he had zero clue we were 18 years old).  anyways, i tried on a $50,000 ring. yes. $50,000. (pictures soon to be on the fabooks). tiffany and co, you are a man's worst nightmare.

jersey boys!!!! we had incredible seats, front row center! this show was wonderful! the acting/singing/dancing was all spot on! the old lady singing along next to me was the most precious thing, no wait, her old husband holding her hand and playing with her hair was! anyways, this musical was so entertaining and i loved every single second of it!

star dust diner for dinner was hilarious! these aspiring performers put on quite a show (video below!) my burger was actually superb but the entertainment was def the high point! these poor people...

after, we went through times square again and made our way back to the greatest apartment in the city for some dessert and a rom com...and maybe some booty shaking to beyonce! what another perfect day! im so grateful! i love lily so so much!

christmas in the city! DAY 1

after a red eye flight out of salt lake we arrived at jfk airport at 5:20am! (...a quick recap on my sleep schedule this past week...monday 4 hours, tuesday 2 hours, wednesday 3 hours, and thursday night 0 hours because lily and i talked the entire plane ride). so i am EXHAUSTED....and what happens when i am exhausted? i take pictures (on my fancy new iphone!!!) of the funny new yorkers and laugh it off when my bags get lost. long story short, a chubby italian lady yelled at me for supposedly cutting in line to talk to the baggage claim services but i was nice and smile and we bonded and became friends. coming from the perfect courteous town of provo, utah, i was rather entertained by the coldness of the new yorkers. luckily, we left the airport with my bags! thank heavens! deb (sister checketts, elizabeth's mom) picked us up and we drove back to their precious town, new canaan, connecticut! their home is incredible, festive, cozy, and stalked full with the best holiday candies! we ate some food and went straight to bed.  lily's bed is wondrous; a king sized, anthro cloud from above, graced me with the best nap i had ever taken.  the sheets, ah! indescribable! upon our awakening we ate more and got ready for our aerobics class!! lily, katie, deb and i worked it at the local fitness place! so much fun! i totes was sweaty and danced the entire hour straight! after the class we went to katie's house (lily's sister) and i met her adorable family! her kids are the cutest children on the face of the planet and they taught me this dance (published below).  we ate dins are this pizza place and HOLY TALEEETO italian food on the east cow, i could die.  and now we are in our pjs, eating chocolate and watching classic christmas movies in deb's gynormo bed!  wahooo!! i love my life!

kooks concert in salt lake!

shine, shine, shine on...

(i apologize for my repeated mouth open super excited face.
i just couldn't help it!)

the kook's show was unbelievable! we found our way to front center (...i guess that could go with out saying) and our neighbors were not too supportive to say the least, lets just say utah doesn't know concert edicate quite like l.a...."hey! no pushing, there are ladies here!" "ew, are those girls even cute? no!" "touch me one more time and ill punch you in the face" "there is a time to party and have a good time, and now is not the time!"....just a few quotes spout at us.  then, we got the party going and they loosened up.  we danced, moshed, whipped our hair, sang out loud....and one of our friends may or may not have kissed two boys! best song of the night: nicole and i held hands and danced to 'shine on' and that goes into the books of happy little moment in my life!! oh so glorious! after some flirting with the band's reps we found out where they were going to be exiting the building.  so, what do they deserve after an incredible show? a spirit tunnel!!  yes, we gathered and gave them an appropriate good bye.  then, we had to get pictures, duh. wrapping up this wonderful night was a trip to sonic for some slushes! yippee ki yay!!
